Austrian team names KUU an official supplier

KUU, the Canadian manufacturer of competition race waxes and precision tuning equipment, has been named an “Official Supplier” to the Austrian National Ski Team. The status was conferred on KUU in an agreement signed earlier this week and applies to both Austria’s alpine team and nordic team. The immediate effect of the signing is that KUU’s MACH series wax and tuning accessories become part of the Austrian team’s equipment for the upcoming 2005-06 World Cup season.

This is the latest in a series of agreements KUU has inked with national ski and snowboard organizations in Canada and abroad. Interest in their product line has intensified following testing of the latest generation of KUU’s Mach series wax, the Mach III. According to Reinhold Zitz, the Austrian team’s Pool Manager, “obviously we are impressed with KUU products overall, but we especially like the flexibility of the Mach III – it performs well over a surprisingly large temperature range and that is a key advantage in ski racing.”

Commenting on the most recent arrival to the KUU client roster, company president Ron Kuus advised “we are thrilled that Austria has selected our products for their team equipment pool. At our end we think we make the world’s fastest race waxes, a view that may have obtained its latest validation this week from the world’s dominant ski power.”
